Just made them... I'm still not so sure if I liked... It's a tasted I've never tried before... it's strange... Maybe it was just a first impression... and maybe the next time I make, will put less cardamon seeds, which I think are too strong...Also thinking about icing them with chocolate... maybe that will mask the cardamon a bit...

Has anyone made these? I'm kind of curious how they taste. More like the texture and flavor. I know some muffins earlier said they made it but they didn't really say what it tasted like just that it was strange and another described how large they were.

I made some and they were really hard, like a hard pocky biscuit or cookie? (shoulda called them funeral cookies lol) but I put cinnamon (sp?) on top and so they tasted pretty good. My friend didn't and hers didn't have much flavor :/ They were dry too :( I did really wanna dunk em in something though  made me wish I could drink so I could try SE dunking suggestions^^ I'll have to play with the recipie next time I fix them, see if I cant make them a bit more moist.

I have made them. They are very sugary and buttery with a bit of spicy taste to them. Nice and crumbly too. Yum....

Ah! There is a recipe in the book?! I just about shrieked with excitement when I read this thread. My book arrived yesterday and I was up until 3 trying to read it in the near complete darkness of my room. ( I was reading by the glow of my citchy buddha lamp so as to not disturb puppy's sleep.) I just finished the cutting Journal section and I can't wait to get to the recipe! I'm definitely gonna make them and will post a pic. I'm assuming they are vegan. god I hope they are.

^ Of course they're vegan, this is EA we're talking about. XD

Her recipes are annoyingly complicated, though—not the process so much as all the ingredients. I honestly have no idea where half of them would be acquired. But perhaps that's just me.

^^ Google the ingredients to see what they look like, and it's packaging. That would help greatly. Any normal grocery store will have these most likely. Half of the ingredients should be found on the same aisle most likely I believe.

I will try to make these one day. Just need to remind myself to write down the ingredients when I next go to the grocery store.

I found them easy. I had most of the ingredients already all I needed was the cardamon and caraway seed which I found with the herbs and spices at Publix or Kroger (I forget which)

As the recipe includes quite a bit of butter, no, they're not vegan.

I tried making them tonight. They didn't turn out right though sadly. Must of used wrong ingredients or did something wrong as after baking them they didn't look anything like biscuits or pictures I've seen in the internet. Plus they crumbled/broke at the smallest touch. I must of overcooked or over cooked it. They also didn't taste right. Not really bad or anything. Just tasted more like plain sourdough.

I'll be sure to try again sometime.
