In the book EA tells us that she wrote Suffer on her inner left tigh, and the
crossed heart on her left chest.. I searched for some pictures and found one but now
I can't find it anymore...:s Anyone ever noticed something/seen pictures of this??

She doesn't have it anymore, that's why she's looking ;)

This picture does sound familiar, although i may have imagined it. I think i found it quite some time ago though..

I saw very clearly S U on a picture from WGT but indeed can't find it anymore..
never noticed anything 'bout the logo.
Now that I'm writing this I think how stupid it is to start a topic, was a
bit too curious I guess  It's not like I don't believe it!

I look for them to. xD I see some of the scars on her thighs, but not deffinitively the word "suffer" or the heart. I guess she took such good care of them, they didn't scar. She did say she was smart about it. :)

I think she said she was smart about it so she wouldn't get an infection, but disheartened when they faded.
If that's the case I feel the same way. I have a boy's initials on my inner thigh and they're fading. It makes me sad because I really loved the fact that it outwardly showed the pain I'd gone through. I know that's disgusting. :(

^ I don't think it's disgusting, I think EA characterized it quite well for me, that it was a physical symptom of what I was going through.

The sad part is kind of going over them so they don't fade..... :( ...pathetic I know.

Wow. I feel a lot less alone. :o
I think reading the cutting diaries was a bit cathartic actually. Like all the words I could never seem to convey to therapists, my family or my boyfriend were all there.

Got to be honest...actively going and looking for pictures of other people's scars is kinda weird.

I don't think it's weird.
1. morbid curiosity. Why do you think people watch all those specials on self mutilation, eating disorders, and drug abuse? It's not to warn people, or help the people on the show, it's our modern day, neatly packaged, politically correct "freak show" from days of old.
2. former cutters are even more curious. It's nice to know, like I said before, that we're not alone.
3. Even when it's not self inflicted scars are still interesting. Off the top of mind I think of Drake Bell and his car crash scar, I always look for it. Would Harry Potter be nearly as iconic without the scar?

Every scar tells a story, admit it.

Not really interested in seeing someone's self inflicted scars that they had from a terrible point in their life, sorry. It be one thing if I *happened* to see it, quite another if I went looking for it. Comparing it to a freakshow isn't really helping, either.

yes I know, that's why I posted that I feel ashame for posting this thread now..
I've been reading the AFWVG again and red a couple of times that she re-did the
crossed heart and I wondered why I never saw it on pictures.
I've got a strange thing with scars, they make me connect with people in some
way I cannot explain, but I will ask a mod.to delete the topic
