I was on DeviantART and saw a photo-manipulation inspired by her song "Gothic Lolita". The lyrics were in the description and, of course, at the time I didn't know what song it was, so looked it up C:

I was on Wikipedia some time ago, and I saw her name, so I just decided to click it. Then I looked her up on YouTube, didn't like her much. But then I did it again months later, and loved her music. Swallow is the BEST!

I discovered her through parallel dimensions. I can time warp and shape shift. I have seen the 12th dimension beyond the 2nd realm. Nobody will believe me but it is true

I saw EA's name floating around somewhere on facebook and it caught my attention so I decided to look her up on youtube. I clicked on a video of 'Marry Me' and was immediately hooked! Her Victorian style made me fall in love and the rest as they say...is History!

I don't know how I haven't posted in this topic before. I could have sworn I told my story a few places on how I discovered EA. :/

In any case, it was shortly after my 10th year high school reunion. There I met an old school mate. I kind of thought she was attractive. She was into metal music. So, I decided to look on myspace for metal music (back when myspace was actually used :P ). The first artist I came across was none other than Emilie Autumn. I was kind of intrigued by her appearance. So, I clicked to listen to "Liar," the first song on the list.

I immediately thought to myself meh...not my kind of music. So, I decided to redo the search for metal music. I did the search and of course saw the entry for Emilie Autumn again. I thought to myself, maybe I didn't give her a fair chance. So, I decided to listen to "Liar" yet again. I got about half way and I still thought nothing much of it. I proceeded to leave again and start the same search once more. This time I skipped over Emilie Autumn and nothing really caught my eye. I scrolled back up and thought well..maybe I should listen to her other songs. So, I did. I listened to "Swallow."

Oddly enough, I thought hey...this isn't too bad. So, I decided to listen to other tracks and before I knew it, I was finding out all I could about Emilie Autumn. I was obsessed. I decided to buy every single cd I could get a hold off. Luckily, around that time she was re-releasing Enchant along with A Bit of This and That. So, I started my collection. About two month's later, I finally found this EA forum. The rest is history. Even the song "Liar" just pulled me in. I consider it one of her greatest songs to this day. It just took a bit of time for me to get pulled in is all. :P Now that I'm here, I don't ever want to leave. I'm a plague rat for life and even after death.

I don't really know how I got there. I was just fooling around on youtube and stumbled across Opheliac, and then I decided I really liked it, and so I kept listening, and listening, and listening....and then I was hooked.

a pal of mine said I should listen to EA. He introduced me by playing the art of suicide. Took me a bit of listening to other songs to get into it. Honestly, he probably had me when he showed a picture of EA after making me listen to some songs. :P my reaction was damn she's cute.

She just kept...popping up. Like, her albums kept being in the 'recommended' section, and i kept seeing references to her in articles online. Anyway, i heard the remix of Dead is the New Alive as background music for a youtube clip, and kinda went "What is this gorgeous tune?! I must find the artist!!" Obsessed from that day on.

I have two friends who are totally into EA. They were talking about buying tix for the show one day and I asked what it was all about and they told me. I didn't get into EA then. I got into EA a few weeks ago when I was looking for some new music to download and I recalled the conversation we had. I downloaded Enchant and got hooked. Her entire discography followed and I am now currently trying to get hold of physical, legal copies of the media. I am also going to try to get VIP tix for her next show in the UK.

I was looking for music to write by and I had a specific character in mind. A friend who is really into EA read what I had written and suggested Shalott. I loved it and became obsessed with ferreting out more of her music. (Funnily enough, I didn't like the rest of Opheliac at first, but it grew on me after listening to it long enough.)

I read the magazine Rock One and there was an article over her. I loved the picture (It was when she had her curly rose hair :3) and what I read was really interessant, so I went on youtube and listened to Juliet. I hated this song 8D
And during one year I forgot Emilie Autumn untill the day I thought of her, I don't know why, but I really wanted to listen to one of her songs, so I listened to Opheliac and I fell in love. And now I love all her songs, even Juliet :3

I think that must happen a lot- hearing her for the first time and thinking, "No." But her music just GROWS on you, it's amazing. :')

@Tchomp
Rock One as in the French magazine?
