Mine is kinda normal. I was browsing iTunes, looking for singers with a different style and I found EA. I downloaded the songs "Opheliac", "Marry Me", "Misery Loves Company" and fell in love with it. So, soon I bought the Opheliac Deluxe CD and started to know more about my now favorite singer. One of the things that I most love about EA is that I can identify with her lyrics and life experiences. That's very rare to find on the musical scene these days.

A girl I used to know from high school found her music and started talking non-stop about her all day every day, which after a while became a pain in the bum, and so I ended up finding EA really annoying too. The girl then left school which meant EA didn't seem so annoying after all, so after a while I decided to google EA, and ended up hooked!

It was a weird story.. I was in the girls' washroom at school.. And I noticed some lyrics engraved on the wall.. They said, "Intelligent girls are more depressed, because they know what the world is really like, don't think for a beat it makes it better when you sit down and tell her everything's gonna be alright, she knows in society she is either a Devil or an Angel with no in between, she speaks in third person, so she forget that she's me." I saw that, and I was all like.. Wtf? I decided to search it up to see if it meant something.. Then I discovered the greatest thing in existance. =3 <3

Sorry to be so boring , but my story is quite simple ... well , lying is no good !

I was listenning to music on youtube , I don't remeber if it was some Voltaire or Jack Off Jill , but Dead is the New Alive appeared in my suggestions . I thought that the lady on the picture looked pretty and really ''badass'' , and listenned to the tune . I was for a little time unsure of what I should think about her voice and all the feeling of the song , but I went back to it a few days later , and fell in love . ^^

It was through one of WingedZephyr's videos, actually. I believe I was listening to Evanescence on YouTube on my iPod and saw the video for "I Want My Innocence Back" in the description!

It was in 2009 through Last.fm, where I've been discovering most of the stuff since 2008. They recommend artists similar to those you've been listening to (I guess EA was considered gothic rock)...

My story:
I was just on youtube, looking at random things. I think I was watching an amv or something and I saw a video of EA's song 4 o'clock on the sidebar. I clicked it to see what it was and I instantly fell in love. <3 I listened to 4 o'clock ten million times before I actually decided to see who EA was and what her other songs were like. So I actually could have discovered EA like a whole year ealier but I didn't. :P

One of my "friends" on Myspace had Misery Loves Company on their playlist. I fell in love with that song and looked up her other music and loved it all, although Misery Loves Company will always be my favorite. :)

Well, it was through a blog. The blogmisstress had a 'picspam' about an EA concert, and i fell in love. i started looking up EA on youtube, facey, anywhere. fell in love with her style, her music, and her voice. And then i found here, and i am addicted to reading all the posts here!

Throughout highschool I had heard bits and pieces of EA here and there, but her music was never something I took the time to sit down to and listen to and feel. After reconnecting with an old friend who's a huge PR and sings 'Marry Me' on a daily basis I finally, actually listened to the Opheliac album. I've been hooked ever since :x

I'm a huge muffin of Tori Amos and her harpsichord play.I asked friends on a forum who else plays the harpsichord in rock music. EA's name came up, and the rest is history. So glad I asked and found her. :)
