Favorite (and least favorite) F.L.A.G songs?

Gaslight and Take The Pill are awesome. Funny how I *hated* Take the Pill when I first heard the live version. I guess it just didn't click the first time, but now I love it. The title track and 4 O'Clock Reprise are great as well.

I don't know how I feel about Time For Tea... I like the intensity of it, but it just doesn't do it for me. I don't hate any of the tracks, but I am lukewarm at best for this one and Scavenger.

My favorite part overall is the medley at the end of Goodnight, Sweet Ladies. What an awesome treat that was.

Least favourite - The Key, entirely for the lyrics, the music it's self is fantastic.

Least Favorites: What Will I Remember?, Start Another Story, Hell Is Empty, We Want Them Young.

The rest I like, but they aren't my favorites.

Honestly, I agree with Shining Black that this is the best one yet. This is definitely my favorite E.A. album.

I have had the live version of the above songs (Gaslight through Girls, Girls, Girls) on my iPod for a few months now. Considering that these are the only songs I really enjoy, hearing FLAG didn't really feel like a breath of fresh air for me. I don't mean to sound like a hater, but I think I preferred Opheliac

. Maybe if I keep listening to the songs my opinion will change as I've only heard them 1-2 times. And a lot of the time, when I usually hear an EA song for the first time, I tend not to like it at first. And then that changes. So yeah, I dunno. I guess it's just not something I'm so used to. [face_confused]

It blows my mind to read that someone doesn't like If I Burn. Personally I think it's one of the best tracks Emilie has ever written. As I said in an earlier post, it has the beauty of Enchant with the venom of Opheliac. A perfect mix. I honestly haven't given the rest of the album too much of a chance because I absolutely love this song and haven't listened to the rest in depth yet. On the first listen i really enjoyed most of it except One Foot and Girls.

My favorite is definitely If I Burn, closely followed by What Will I Remember. The lyrics in WWIR really sums up all the feelings I had before my suicide attempt and I can't listen to it without crying.
Scavenger and One Foot are also favorites to me (:

I can't say I care for I Don't Understand, it sounds so awkward in every way. With some polishing and another singer it could be really cute, but the way it is now it's just not. Gaslight is also one of my least favorites, it's just a bit too theatrical to me and I can't feel any connection to it (The reprise on the other hand is absolutely stunning!).

Best are Take the Pill, One Foot, Scavenger and If I Burn. I don't care at all for The Key - I wish it was an instrumental.
(And I desperately want the 'I'm like Ophelia once again' interlude in 'I Don't Understand' to be an entire song on its own.)

I really enjoyed all the songs but the one I had the most trouble with is "Scavenger"
Other than that, I'm a huge Broadway musical muffin so I loooooooved all FLAG <3

Oh my God this new album is amazing!!! Today my favourite song is Take the Pill yesterday my favourite song was Gaslight, I love this album! And also I love Emilie Autumn!!

Favourites:

If I Burn - I really like this one. I think it's one of the best choruses I've heard from EA. Interesting that it's an older song. Might explain why I like it, because it has more of the feel EA used to have.

4 O'clock Reprise - Absolutely beautiful, most moving part of the album.

Take the Pill - I think this song is genius right up to.. the bridge and ending, then it loses it all for me. "You're a doctor and I'm just a crazy fucking bitch". Really? That just makes me cringe. Wish I could edit the song to take out those parts. Just let the song fade out before it happens.

Least Favourites? Everything else.
