I noticed here:

that Emilie is using some type of DAW, but I'm not sure which one it is. Does anyone know? Also, I'd like to know when Emilie recorded her music at home (because I do remember her saying that she recorded pieces like "Hollow Like My Soul" with her laptop), which type of equipment did she use (e.g. consoles, mics)? To all of you out there who produce your own music, what do you use? I was just wondering since I'm a beginner to it all and I'd like to produce/engineer my own music.

She uses Cubase. No idea about the equipment, though.

EA recorded a lot of her stuff back in the day on an iBook with a crappy pinhole mic.
She mentions that in these threads:

Not sure about Hollow Like My Soul in particular, but the songs I linked to above as well as probably things like Willow weren't recorded on anything fancy.

Cubase. I wonder how pricey that is though. I am kind of interested in what equipment she uses now. She seems to have produced great music with what sounds like simple recording equipment.

It's crazy what you can do with just an iBook and pinhole mic, huh? She's able to make her music sound pretty professional, at least to me, with limited equipment. That's kind of my goal.
