Opinions for I don't understand

In my case, the verdict is still out regarding this song. I'm sure if I like, dislike it or love it.
I do appreciate the very obvious relation to TAFWVG

Maybe I'm in the minority, but I don't want to have a male singer, and I liked the fact that she sang both parts. It wasn't hard for me to follow at all. If she wants a musical in real life, sure, another singer would be appropriate. But her album? Which is a solo album - I'm glad she didn't pull in some male singer or else I would have been put off. I don't want to hear another singer that I might not like. I like EA's voice and that was the only one I wanted to hear.

I thought it was definitely interesting and a bit emotional. I might like it more the more I listen to it.

^ No, I feel the same way. I like that she sang both parts. I look at it as a framework for the musical, and she's showing us what could be. I don't know, but I would have hated the song if it featured a male singer (although I've seen some people saying Marc Senter should play the part, and I AGREE!) I loved it.

Even with her doing both voices, it's one of my favourite songs on the album. It was the song that worked best as a musical song, I can imagine the blocking for it even.
I wouldn't cast Marc Senter as Thomson though, but of people who EA could plausibly cast he would work

It kind of reminds me of a Disney song.. I like it, but I do think she should have either altered her voice for the Thompson parts more or just gotten someone else to sing his parts.

I wish she had gotten someone else to sing this with her, its a great song but the "Eml(y)" Voice she does anoys me for some reason its just strange and completly cuts the flow. This is my least favorite song.

Yeah, I'm kinda ambivalent. It's awfully hard at parts to follow.... but it would be weird after an entire album of entirely EA vocals to suddenly throw in another vocalist, considering the whole album as a single piece of art -- I would not in any way want to have anybody but EA singing Girls Girls Girls, for example.

Agreed. I mean Emilie definitely knows people, and if Amanda Palmer can collaborate with a several different artists, being at about the same level of popularity as EA, I'm sure it's not an improbable feat.

It doesn't feel like a song, it's a cute little bit of dialogue is really all it is honestly. I skip over it most of the time. xD

I like Emilie Vocals.. ! I couldn´t imagine a perfect male voice for EA songs..

I'm not too fond of it. As many of you have mentioned a different person should have sang Thomson's part. I've also never understood this "connection" Emilie and Thomson were supposed to have. Not in the book and not in the song.

I like it! The change from her really girly voice to the snarky "I've done nothing" line.
I could really see Emil-y raise her eyebrows, that's just me probably.

And then the "I’m like Ophelia once again."
I really loved the change of mood.

I don't know it gives me the feeling that deep deep inside Emil-y there is a mad side which was made by the doctors.

I never really cared for Thomson..
