Dearest Plague Rats,

It is with the greatest regret that I must tell you of the cancellation of all summer dates, including any UK dates and the two festivals, M'era Luna and Summer Darkness. The reason for this is the very same as that which caused the postponement of the two USA shows.

(I know that some of you UK muffins were planning a Muffin Meetup, and I still pray you will have it! I'll even send you a huge box of self-made tea biscuits to share -- they are my very own Funeral Biscuits, based on a real Victorian mourning tradition; recipe is in the book, so until you get your paws on that, I'll just bake them for you...they're worth dying for...)

Be assured that my marvelous new staff, the promoters, and I did everything possible to honor these dates, but, in the end, it was absolutely financially impossible for band and crew to travel to these isolated shows that had been so badly arranged, and without my authorization. The only cure for my disappointment in this is to know that, with the new and <strong><em>highly competent</em></strong> management and booking in place, we shall never <em>ever</em> be in this situation again.

Please know that we have vast, mad, and beautiful plans in the works that will be bringing us back to you all very, <em>verrry</em> soon, and in full regalia.

Now! During our brief absence from you, the girls and I are working hard on several most fabulous projects all intended to bring you to the next Asylum gate. You knew there were seven, right?

Darkness before dawn, cupcakes, and the dawn starts now. It's burning my fucking eyes out, that's how good it is! You've got to trust me on this. I'm on your side.

Aww, I already knew that you weren't coming to the SD, but it's still nice to have you post on the forum once in a while

A shame that all the dates are cancelled, but, meh, I'm sure there'll be more tours then the last one.

And yes, the bloody cupcake shots are great, huh? The asylum can be such a nice place to live sometimes

I am so very glad you've gotten that whole situation straightened out!!! Hopefully I will be able to make one of your shows!!

It's a shame the tour dates have been cancelled, I would've loved to see you again, your stage show is pure brilliance.

About the International Muffin Meetup, don't doubt it: it'll be there and it'll be the biggest and craziest thing the people in London have ever seen. The guest list is close to a hundred guest, and about half of those are either definitely going to be there or are very probable. Having your cookies would make it even better! We plan to take over Regent's park in Victoriandustrial apparel, have a lovely tea party, possibly several small events, and afterwards a number of us will share a room in a hostel: Muffin Slumber Party! We're even planning to get shirts printed, let me know if you'd like to have one.

Good luck with your own mischievous plans, I don't doubt it'll be perfect.

Ahhh that sucks! Not for us, but for you! I am so glad that you have new management now, and I hope things work out well URGH!

Oh, and just out of curiousity, do you think that you will be touring in the UK this year?

I wouldn't have been able to get to the London gigs this summer (I will be camping at Port Eliot, and then I will be in Spain, so my budget won't stand much more travelling), so part of me feels relieved not to be missing a gig. Still. Sucks for everyone who would have been going.

Though it is severely disappointing to know that you've had to cancel dates (we're sure you and the girls hate it even more than we do), we muffins trust that the new team is working around the (4 O') clock to make the next gate of the tour even more venomously delectable than the last. If you're doing as much as you've done before (which we're pretty sure you are), we know you and the girls are working your pretty little rat paws to the bone marrow to make it even more spectacular than ever.

P.S. You know, you could just accidentally let slip that you need certain items for the set of the tour. I'm fairly certain that they would mysteriously appear at the Asylum Gate in a matter of days...

Shame that we couldn't have a show the day after the meet, but I'm sure we all perfectly understand why it can't happen.

Looking forward to the biscuits though!
