I've just found an interview with EA on a mexican website:

For those who can't understand spanish, at one moment Emilie says that she knows which songs will be the first and the last one on the next album, and she says she also knows the title. After that, she says that she plans to record it next year after the European tour.
Finally, when she got asked how it will sound, she answered "I've known this for a while, it will be more hardcore, more violent, more intense and more of everything, because now it's all about thinking what happens when a prisoner is behind the bars. It will be crazy, it will have more metal, and it will still be beautiful"


What do you think about it?? I hope she gets to release this album soon, I really want to listen to new songs, even though I never got really tired of Opheliac (and I doubt I'll ever do).

wow, that is interesting. Won't really know for sure until we get some samples. I suppose it has been a trend. If you track her music from the beginning, it has been heading in this general direction. Classical -> Pop-like (Enchant) -> Opheliac (victoriandustrial) -> more metal?

I'm honestly not a muffin of Emilie's "rougher" voice. She can really have a pretty voice, and I would love to hear more of it

That sounds really good. I am not surprised with thematic of the new record, since the massive fighting like a girl sentence and the Plague Rat Army. If someone can translate all the interview it will be so delicate and lovely

I don`t know where I have read it but somebody ask her if she comes
to the Mera Luna Festival in germany next year and she say "No because she work on her new album"

It's alright though, there are some metal albums that I love. And I'm kind of thinking EA can pull off almost any genre, so I'm quite curious.

Opheliac is my very favorite album,and I'm affraid of being dissapointed by the next one.But if she will continue this concept and style and there will be more violence,I'm sure I will like it:)

I'm not a muffin of pure metal as well, nor any of "pure" genre (usually, my very favourite artists are those who mix and match many different styles), but I confide in her genius, I feel like she'll always do something original.

Thanks for the heads up and I can't wait. I really like metal and her aggressiveness especially in her Opheliac album. So I'm sure it the new album would sound awesome to me.
