There seems to be stuff missing from this interview?

This paged confused me, the scroll button is at the very far bottom at the left hand side. When I first looked it over, I was like...wait, that's a very short interview. Then I saw the little arrows. Shame on this website, it's not very well put together... Although, I loved the interview. Emilie Autumn is so amazing as to how she describes everything, and expresses herself and her music.

Poorly designed webpage, the button either needs to be more obvious or just not there.

@glowchaser While i definitely understand why Em responded that way, i think i can see where the interviewer was going with that. Fact is, a hell of a lot of effort goes into her image (i can only assume the interviewer had the stage show in mind) and she has essentially created the punktorian/asylum brand. To say that her image is not an important factor is just silly, as it's become very influential on her muffins. On top of this, bands like KISS, Marilyn Manson, Alice Cooper, Lady Gaga all use their image as a VERY important part of their act. It's what helps make them distinguishable from so many others.

That said, it was a poorly worded question.

^ I agree with you. The image she has created of herself is like a trademark for her, and that's an important thing.
That's what she's recognized with and such, but indeed the interviewer made the question sound rather shallow.
I think I would have reacted the same way as she did

LadyCyanide, I've seen some people got nuts over some of the things she said in that interview, blowing things way out of proportion etc. I won't go into specific details on here but it's mainly on Tumblr that I've seen this happen. Quite unnecessary drama if you ask me, I don't think her answers were bad and while some of them could maybe have been worded a little differently, she still doesn't deserve to get shit on for it.

Yeah I've seen that on Tumblr but, as far as I'm concerned, I'm happy that we're all being quite civil about it here. LadyCyanide brought up a fair point in her own right and I very much agree. Others on Tumblr brought up the same point, yet, not as kindly...

Other than that one part though I haven't seen a lot of people take issue.

I just figured EA took that particular question to be dismissive of all the other things she does (as I'd like to think that she thinks of herself as a musician first, among other things). So yes, poorly worded question.

The rest of the interview was fine though.

tumblr basically exists for people to cause a big stink about nothing at all. that's it. the people who shit on emilie over there are basically the rejects from here who don't like her anymore and wanted a more trendy place to make their voices heard lol
