We asked Emilie's manager for interview with her(we wanted face to face one, but we coulden't so at least we had opportunity to ask her some wuestions by mail) so we send Emilie some questions, here are her answers I think that few things are pretty interesting and Polish Muffins want to share it with the rest of the world :)

1. I would like to ask you about few things concerning your upcoming album, Fight Like A Girl. First one is about my favorite song so far, Take The Pill. Could you please tell us what "The Pill" actually is? A psychiatric drug, anticonception pill or maybe something else?

EA: In ‘Take The Pill’, the actual pill is anything you want it to be. As we all know, the world of western medicine is filled with doctors who over-prescribe drugs to their patients. Often, the patient does not need the drug, and often, the doctor is being paid by the drug company to prescribe it to people, even though it may be unsafe, untested, or unnecessary. In some extreme cases, we are forced to take these drugs, when incarcerated within a mental hospital for example. I’ve been put into a line with other mental patients and given drugs with names I didn’t even know while the nurses watched to make sure I didn’t spit them out or hide them underneath my tongue. We were being experimented on, and we were told we would be just fine, but most of us weren’t. Some of these drugs have altered my mind and changed the way I think forever. I will never be the same. The medical community denies that this happens. The drug companies deny that these side effects could even possible exist. We are all called liars. But the worst thing is when you actually do need a drug, and it has horrible, life-ruining side effects, but you have to take it anyway, every day, simply in order to stay alive. You need the drug, but you hate the drug. It keeps you alive but it makes your life miserable. These are the drugs I am on now, and this is why the song is so angry.

2. We heard 7 songs from new album so far. But what about the rest of the album? What does it sounds like? (I'm particulary interested in Emilie's Theme and Secret FLAG Recording)

EA: The entire album was meant to be a soundtrack to the show, which is meant as just a small part of the Broadway-esque theatrical musical production that my book is being made into as we speak. The thing that makes this album unique is that it truly does take the listener on a complete journey from beginning to end. It’s not a rock album – it’s made for the theatre.

3. What would you say to the people who claim that Fight Like A Girl is misandric?

EA: I don’t see how anyone could claim anything as the entire album hasn’t been released yet, but, in any case, I don’t think it’s necessary to explain. The song and the album title/concept speak for themselves, and their meaning is very obvious. If it doesn’t make sense to someone, they are probably not the right audience for it, and that’s perfectly alright with me.

4. Changing topic: you are now blonde which is come back to your natural hair color. I wonder, why did you choose to dye your hair back then and why did you choose red/pink colours?

EA: The blond wasn’t really a personal choice as much as it was necessary for my character in Darren Bousman and Terrance Zdunich’s new film ‘The Devil’s Carnival.’ In the film, I play this charming creature called Painted Doll who also happens to be quite evil and nasty, though she does get to sing some amazing songs. As to the red and pink hair colours, both of which I will very likely return to at some point as I still very much identify with them, I had a vision of myself with red hair several years ago, and, after trying it, felt more like myself than I ever had before. At the moment though, I am sporting the giant mohawk on stage, and I feel more beautiful when wearing that than I ever have.

5. Changing topic completly now: What is your biggest dream?

EA: To launch the ‘Asylum…’ musical on London’s West End in 2014.

6. How do you see yourself in 20-30 years?

EA: Still looking good in a corset.

I'm so happy to read that (especially because the question 1-4 are mine) that I cannot express it well.
Thank you EA!
And thanks for Melissa King for infinite amount of patience for us! Sorry for making your work terrible, we Polish people just love EA too much :P

Good, short but funny interview. Thanks :) I am sad to hear she is unhappy with her medication though :(

Nice interview :). I find it interesting that she can do a Polish fanclub interview but she doesn't have time to do an interview for her official forum...
