I have a question. I'm bringing my book for Emilie to sign. I would like to know where would be a good place for me to put it?? If i go back to the car i will most likely lose my spot and i don't want to be holding it the whole time cause that would just be awkward. If anyone has any suggestions to help i would gladly appreciate it. =)

You could just bring it in a ziploc bag. I think a 2 gallon bag should be able to fit it. Then you could carry 1-2 grocery bags and just place it in. Could probably just place it through the arm and onto the shoulder or carry an extra strap if it feels more comfortable to carry it down lower.

This is what I did anyways when I had her sign "Your Sugar Sits Untouched." Of course, since it was a smaller and lighter book, I was able to put it into a plastic folder rather than a ziploc bag. I put it into a grocery bag and strapped it around my shoulder with an extra camera strap I have.

That would work nicely. Except in my case, I already had it and...uh it kind of looks like a man purse if I used it. :P It's the perfect size for the Asylum book though. I actually keep my used copy in it.

I had a satchel-thingy that I brought. It was too small for the Asylum book, but I put everything else in there. But I was wearing a kilt and fishnets, so no one was going to give me trouble for wearing a "man purse." I probably would have eaten them alive if they did, anyway.

Thanks everyone for all the suggestions. Luckily after i got it signed i had enough time to go to the car and put it in there. I got the tote bag and the book fits perfectly in it. It's so handy. It can hold lots of stuff. I'm already carrying it around with me everywhere.

i am 6ft 2 and tall, i dont mind small people asking me to move or to stand in front but when they barge they will get told to shove off as i will of probably been outside for 4-5 hours, i once waited 7 hours for my chemical romance to play at download and this person just decided to push in front of me, if she'd asked i would of let her stand in front, just be aware that we are all nice people on here (mostly) and ask if u wanna go past someone or if someone is in the way just cos ur at a concert doesnt mean u lose ur manners

Sorry if it's already been answered, but there are so many pages of this thread. I usually frequent punk & hardcore shows where the whole crowd kind of surges towards the front when the band starts, with shoving & moshing & stage diving & such, where the front row is kind of survival of the fittest. Is that kind of stuff a no-no at an EA concert? Does everyone just stand politely?

^ At the concert I went to in Austin, there wasn't any shoving or moshing or violence. It was close-quarters, but civilized.

Thanks for the tips, it's given me an idea of how an EA concert is :)

But I have a question for you all - I'm going to the FLAG concert in Gothenburg April 10., but I'll probably go alone. This is because none of my friends like her, and also because I'm norwegian, not swedish so it's more than five hours to drive there.
So my question is - Is it okay to go alone? I'm really insecure, so it scares me, if you understand [face_worried]

^ I went alone to a show here in the States and had a great time. I talked to a couple PRs here on the forum who were going to the same show so when I arrived at the venue I had some people to hangout with. I'm sure that you'll have a great time, MarieAndrea, PRs are usually super sweet and more than willing to talk with one another :)

not sure if this is etiquette, but its about concerts, is there a way of getting gifts to the performers. i have this really nice vegan sugar cookie recipe that works really well, and id like to send some in to emilie and the crumpets.

I've been going to concerts alone for years because I don't really share my music taste with my friends and I've always enjoyed doing my hobbies alone. No worry, there are always people by themselves and because everybody in the crowd shares the same interest it's really easy to chat with people if you want.

I'm fairly tall for a girl (5"11), so if I'm anywhere near the front I always a) try and make myself as small as possible (always wear flats, no hats, duck my knees a little) and b) keep as still as humanly possible, because I know myself how annoying it is for someone taller to be in front, you just find a position where you can see, they move and you have to start all over again.
That being said, if I've been standing out in the cold for hours on end, and shorter people are trying to weave their way to the front when they only arrive just after doors open, I tend not to budge, especially if there's a balcony or something similar, because there's the option of being able to see just fine.
