I realise that this picture is very soft compared to the other pictures from that magazine and that it is indeed quite artistic, but she is still posing for a magazine like this, and that makes her one of them, and shows that she support them, in my opinion.

And I've always thought that this song showed her opinions, much like Marry Me, which seem to tell the story of henry VIII and one of his wifes. I would say that song also is quite feministic and shows how cruel arranged marriages were.

But, I don't know what was going through her mind as she wrote these songs, I just interpreted it that way. And this picture and the burlesque dancing thus makes me kind of disappointed... :/

As far as I've understood, EA's main issue with the SG is the way they treat their models, not the photos themselves...
Aprella has had some bad experiences, as far as I've understood.

But don't take my word for it, I might be dead on wrong on this...

It seems like you are saying that burlesque performance and erotic photos are somehow degrading and can't be done by feminists...? There is some burlesque elements in all Emilie's performances and even one of the bloody crumpets (Veronica) is a burlesque dancer. I really don't see why a feminist can't celebrate her femininity.

I read a few interview with Emilie and in there she said that she makes music and shows not to please her muffins, but just for herself. which is a good thing I think. This photo-thing is probably an other thing she just wanted to do. And I think, as her true, worshipping muffing should be glad that she does whatever she wants and support her in this.
I don't know what is means, maybe she's going to doe a new thing with her music but I think it's her choise to make..
But I would like an explaination... just to know why..

i looove burlesque! because its not just ordinairy striptease where you show everything and its just about getting naked. burlesque is much more arty and about the outfits. you dont get completely naked and you tell little stories. also every woman can do it no matter if she is thin, fat, old, young. and i think theres nothing antifeministic about it. being naked is NOT against emancipation or anything. show your sexuality everyone! im sure emilie doesnt do it because she wants please man but because she feels confident about herself. argh. this drives me nuts over and over again.

    I've stated my opinion and I really don't feel like debating this any more. I always turns out to a complete mess when I do because my opinions usually differ so much from other peoples point of view. I don't want any enemies on this forum and thus I will speak no more in this thread...
