MyRock is a French magazine dedicated to... well, rock music. I think this was the January issue. This article immediately went up on my wall! :) First time seeing EA on paper instead of the Internet.

I do hope someone will translate this in English. I would love to read this but my French skills are lacking, well basically non-existent.

I posted this article somewhere in the topic where Melissa I think asked to bring EA articles to the concert. The main subjects are translated there. I'll look for it

EDIT: here it is

Quick sum up of this article for the non-french spoken :

_come back of EA after a long time
_little summary of her last French show in 2010
_sum up of the theme of FLAG (according to us it's "her ex, machism, society, etc.")
_practical information for her show in March

Here is a full translation of the article:

"It had been a while since we'd had any news regarding Emilie Autumn. Her last trip to Paris on 03/03/2010 at the Cabaret Sauvage did not go unnoticed (with hher cohort of Victorian costumes and her unique sound, a medley "violindustriel" atypical result of her classical training and her gothic and new wave influences), and we waited with baited breath the follow up that was considered, at the time, "totally different and more enchanting". The Malibu native performer now shows her colour : "I'm back in Europe with my burlesque circus for an even crazier show!" With her new album "Fight Like A Girl", a worthy successor of "Opheliac" (2009), scheduled for December, the singer-violinist continues to settle old scores (with her ex, misogynistic society, technical progress, etc.) and is here to treat us to her new show in March and April. Paris (Maroquinerie)(25/03), Montbéliard (24/03), Zurich (28/03) and Brussells (12/04) will be visited, after a long North American tour in January and February. Hopefully this feisty young lady has no left all her strength- and other accessories- on the other side of the Atlantic before visiting the "Old Continent" thats female universe has triumphed in many battles."

Sorry if the translation is a little off, some French words and expressions are a little hard to convey at times and I'm not 100% fluent in French... only about 98%. :) Still, it's the closest I could get. Hope this helps!

^ Well, in England there's Kerrang! magazine. Though admittedly I've never seen any mention of EA in there. I was amazed France would have any articles about her, I don't know anybody over here who's heard of her.

In the translation by Tanith Kamelot:
"With her new album "Fight Like A Girl", a worthy successor of "Opheliac" (2009), scheduled for December"

^Oh...I'm hoping they mean the tour date in France! I thought it was June.

^I'm hoping that this article is from 2011.. The time that we thought FLAG was going to be released in December T_T

Thanks so much for the translation! :)

I honestly don't think that FLAG will come out in December. It might have just been a misinterpretation or misprint by the author. I don't think EA would tell us that the album was coming out right after the tour and then change it to December. That wouldn't make any sense.

I'm hoping they meant that the TOUR was beginning in December. If we have to wait another 8 months for FLAG to come out I might have to shoot something.

But then again, the dates in this article were wrong. As I was translating I had to do a double take when I got to the Paris and Montbéliard dates. The show in Montbéliard was on March 24th- I would know, I was there. But the magazine said that the Paris concert was the 24th (it was the 25th), and Montbéliard was listed as the 28th. So I wouldn't be surprised if the December thing was just mistake too.
