I am very happy you think it is a helpful guide. :)

One thing I forgot to mention was the "temperature" - sometimes it can be awful hot at concerts. Ventilation is seldom very good, and a dense crowd does not improve that.
So often a "f a n" (not a muffin) is a very neat accessory to bring along.

Oh I am so glad you posted this! This has actually helped me a lot. I think I have pretty good Concert Etiquette and everything, but still it is nice to get a little reminder. With location, that should be pretty interesting because I really do want to go into the front, but I understand completely if that will not happen for me. Since I am 5'3" I am easily trampled..(but hopefully with my new boots, I will be a couple inches taller! :D ).

I am happy that muffins are not like other muffins (muffins) like at a Paramore or OTEP or concert where people will be pushing and moshing and everything. (I don't think there are that many songs to mosh too anyways :P ) Nearly all muffins are sweet people so pushing or shoving or any violence shouldn't be a problem.

This is my first EA concert so I have nothing to look back on, but from what I have seen and heard, this is going to be a very nice concert. I am going to the Chicago concert and the venue (from the pictures) look like a nice size so we all wont be cramped in. It is also a nice place to take pictures and everything. I am sure going to be taking a lot of photos, but I will step back and make sure I am not in the way of anybody.

Wow, I seemed to have rambled on for quite a bit now. I think I will stop talking now :P

Thanks for the advice! I'm going to see her when she comes back to the UK and was wondering what time I should get there before the show. I'd love a front row view, but I'm too nice to push my way to the front and will usually let someone shorter than me go infront :P It's sometimes a shame when she plays on weekdays because some of us have to work/go to school. But I suppose 1 day wouldn't do any harm, unless it's 2 days because of being tired the next day. :)

Well, I was at a modest mouse concert last night and every where there were people smoking pot

Now I don't care if you smoke pot or not...but DO NOT do it at a concert!

I've seen hundreds of bands in the last 4 years, and yet, I am still clueless as to what an EA concert will be like! Tell me, is it like regular concerts, or are the muffins generally considerate of others? I have health problems and can't do much physically. so at nearly all concerts, I am forced to stand off to the side or at the very front where I can lean on something. if it's a less rowdy concert, I will take a chance and find a spot somewhere in the middle where the view is good. but if it's going to be rowdy, I'll just stand off to the side. :/

In my experience (two smaller concerts with like 300 people, one festival event with about 1000 and book reading in a theater), it may be very rushy and a bit pushy right at the beginning. There is a somewhat fierce competition to get the best spots. Other than that, people are generally very nice and well behaved.

At one concert in Oslo the room with the stage was opened when everyone was already inside the venue. The screams and rush for the best spots was like nothing I had seen before. (A friend who regulary organises concerts was totally blown away, he has been at some 1000 concerts and only one compared - New kids on the Block", some 20 years ago). But after that very chaotic first minute everything went very gently.

I have a sugestion...

if you have VIP tickets, don't try to get the front.
I have VIP and I am going to let those who didn't get it, be ahead of me.

Why wouldn't we want to be up front? I understand VIPers get to meet EA and the Crumpets but i also want a good spot at the show since i'm only 5'3". It may sound bad but i'm not paying to stand in the back of the crowd and not see anything. I will let shorter people in front though, but that's mainly because i know how it is being behind tall people

I completely agree with you on this one.
I'm only 5'1" and just because I got a VIP ticket doesn't mean I don't have a right to see her perform. I'm not saying I'm going to bully my way all the way up to the front [Oh god, I'd like to see how THAT would work out.] but I'd like to be in a spot where I can at least see.
